Engaging children with writing through blogs

Written on February 16, 2011 – 6:16 pm | by john sutton

Welcome to the Chorlton Park Spring ICT Conference blog. This Year’s conference is all about harnessing the power of blogs to engage young writers.

We have a line up featuring some of the best educational bloggers in the business, so whether you are a school that is thinking about developing writing through blogs; you already blog but want to extend your ideas; or you just know that writing is an issue in your school, then this is a date you won’t want to miss.

Speakers include award winning teacher, David Mitchell, whose work with blogging at Heathfield primary school in Bolton has rapidly gained international recognition; Bill Lord whose knowledge of the pedagogy of literacy is unsurpassed; and Peter Ford who was blogging with children in the classroom before most of us ever heard the term “blog”.

Places are strictly limited to 30 delegates.

Date: Friday March 25th, 2011
Chorlton Park Primary School, Manchester
